Semi-guided - 2day Hike to Mytikas, Olympus
Activity Description
2 Days Hike Olympus - Semi Guided, takes you to Mt. Olympus, the highest mountain in Greece. A place of divine beauty blessed by the ancient Greek gods and chosen by Zeus to host their home.
Mt. Olympus, which is the natural boundary between the region of Thessaly to the south and Macedonia to the north, overlooks the Aegean Sea. In the eastern flanks of Mt. Olympus is Greece’s first national park, created in the 1930’s. There are no roads in the park apart from the trail head access road, but there are many hiking paths and cozy mountain huts, which happily accommodate mountaineers from across the globe. Depending on the route you will choose, you'll either stay at Spilios Agapitos or Giosos Apostolidis mountain hut.
