Activity Description

Kalarrytikos is the most important tributary of Arachthos and starts from Lakmos and Kakarditsa. It follows a route through wild gorges, full of waterfalls and stone bridges. It is a strong and fast river with strong waves, noticeable slope, strong flow, sharp turns and stairs. Reaching the Gogo Bridge it stretches and calms down a bit, but after the bridge it narrows again and crosses one of the most beautiful gorges of Epirus.

Rafting in Kalarrytikos starts from the Gogo Bridge, passes through the Kalarrytikos Gorge and ends in Arachthos. We cross the impressive Arachthos Gorge with the vertical slopes of 700 meters! We enjoy a stop at the magnificent Waterfalls of Klifki and complete our descent to the largest single-arched bridge in the Balkans, the famous Plaka Bridge. All along the way we meet dozens of springs gushing from the rocks with crystal clear and drinking water.

The journey into the river is about 3 hours. Is around 20km.
