An off-the-beaten-track private cultural tour that uses food (and optionally wine) to get to know and experience the local traditions, the authentic people, the history, and the modern lifestyle of Crete. You will be guided around Chania city and learn about the Cretan food culture by tasting Alatsoelies (salted olives) with various kinds of cheese, the famous Cretan yogurt with or without thyme honey, traditional sweets and pastries with Malotira beverage (the local mountain herb), and a tweaked vegetarian Souvlaki with mushrooms and local cheese.
At the end of your food tasting tour, you will have the option of a 45min wine tasting experience (not in the standard price included, must be added to the food tour booking as an extra service).
