Kitesurfing Gear Rentals in Naxos island: only for Confident Kitesurfers

Our kite center offers the latest kiteboarding gear of Eleveight kites, variety of twin-tip and surfboards and Mystic accessories for different sizes and needs.

We rent kitesurfing equipment only to Mikri Vigla beach and only to confident riders. You can rent the complete equipment, just the board, the kite or any combination you need.

We rent per session (1, 2 or 3 hours in a row), like this you have the maximum flexibility in terms of choosing suitable equipment. 

Our center is located just next to the kite spot and additional kites are available at the beach.
If the wind changes you can change your kite during your session. Petros, the owner of the center will be watching you while renting and he will assist you in case you need him (launching or landing, changing kite etc).

After your session the kitesurfing equipment must be packed with care and returned to the center. Please note that in case of breaking or damaging the equipment you will have to pay for the repairs.
Renting from Naxoskitelife will enable you to enjoy your kite session with the latest gear, suited to your level and needs, in wind conditions from 12 to 30 knots. 

Prerequisites for renting equipment

For renting equipment you have to have at least level C6 – turning and keeping the upwind and be experienced in choppy and gusty wind conditions.

In the beginning of your first session you will need to pass a kiteboarding rental check, where you have to demonstrate your ability to ride upwind, bodydrag upwind and safely navigate between other kiters. The rental check takes about 10 minutes and is counted in your rental time, but otherwise is free.
The customer must pay for the kiteboarding rental session beforehand, but if the check is failed the money will be returned except for 20€ that we keep for the check.

Those who need to improve to meet the requirements of the rental check can always get some kitesurfing rental supervision from our team by contacting us. Being an excellent swimmer is a must in Mikri Vigla as the water is deep. 

During the kiteboarding rental check you need to:

• Demonstrate your knowledge of the priority rules (ROW rules).
• Set up and launch the kite correctly.
• Have full control while walking on the beach with the kite and board.
• Bodydrag upwind (without the kiteboard).
• Ride and stay upwind (exit more upwind from where you entered).
• Handle the kitesurfing equipment with care and keep safe distance from hazards.

For parents with young children: Kitesurfing intro

• If your children are too young to start a kitesurfing course, but eager to see how is it, we offer an option for you to demonstrate flying a 2-lined trainer kite, that has little power, but helps to discover the wind window. 

Important information about rentals

• We rent gear ONLY for Mikri Vigla bay. You cannot take the gear to other kite spots.
• You can change the twintip kiteboard for a kitesurfing surfboard for an extra fee of 10€/session.
• Kitesurfing rentals are possible only with wind blowing from the NORTH  (N, NNE, NNW or NW).
• The full price of your session needs to be paid in advance, if your session turns out to be shorter than planned, we will refund the difference.
• You must be in good physical condition and have no medical condition that may interfere with the practice of kiteboarding activities. You are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• You must operate the rented kiteboarding equipment in a reasonable and safe manner so as not to endanger the lives of persons or property of any individual. In case you cause an accident you have and will claim the full responsibility.
• Insurance for the equipment is not included.
• In case of loss you get charged 30% less of the official retail price of the product. In case of damaged equipment you will get charged the repair fee depending on the damage.
• In case you cause any damage to the equipment we reserve the right to stop your session and not rent to you again.
• Additional fees will apply to the customer who exceeds the agreed rental time.
• If a customer decides to end the session earlier than planned, he/she will be refunded the unused time except for the first hour.
• When the weather conditions are not suitable (extreme wind) we reserve the right not to rent or to terminate your session. In this case you will be partially refunded.
