This excursion is characterized by the variations of the landscape, panoramic views, and excellent access to hiking trails. It caters to both experienced and less experienced hikers who want to embark on a relatively short and easy hike and fully enjoy the beauties of nature!
Program
We are in Metsovo and heading towards the high plateau of "Politses," situated at an altitude of 1350m. The journey begins from there and lasts approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.
In the beginning, we will walk for 10 minutes through lush green meadows and dense forests, following an easy path with gentle slopes. Then, we will continue walking for 20-30 minutes through the dense forest until we reach a small amphitheater with a breathtaking view. There, we will take a short break to rest, take some beautiful photos, and have a light snack.
From there, we will proceed to walk along the mountain ridge towards "Kaliyomeno aloni" for about 45 minutes. After reaching the highest point of the route at 1593 meters, we will begin descending along a gentle slope.
During this excursion, we might see sheep, cows, and horses grazing on the "Politses" plateau, as well as wild animals like wolves, foxes, rabbits, deer, and others that inhabit the area.
This route provides an opportunity to enjoy the nature and beauty of the region while also offering a moderate level of physical exercise as we walk on pleasant trails.
