Olympus winter climb - An experience of a lifetime
Climbing the plateau and the highest peak in Greece, a challenge that every climber dreams of experiencing at least once.
Detailed program:
- Saturday, January 4th
Meeting at Litochoro.
Equipment check, loading of backpacks and we start from the Gotsia position. 1,100m we hike for about four hours on a wooded path to the Petrostruga shelter. A break of about an hour and we continue on a steep uphill ridge which leads us to the Skurtas plateau. We approach the Skourta peak by hiking in a smooth open field with a view of the peaks. Then we cross the pass and the Yosu pass, using climbing equipment, and come out on the plateau of the Muses. One last effort brings us inside the safety of the shelter.
We will meet at the highest shelter in Greece at 2,700m. The shelter will operate as normal offering drinks and food.
- Sunday, January 5th
Morning awakening and departure from the refuge aiming for the summit. With the use of climbing equipment and fixed ropes, we climb the highest peak in Greece. Return to the refuge for food, drink and rest.
- Monday, January 6th
We wake up, eat our breakfast, pack our things and make our way back.

- Mountaineering experience in winter field
- Good physical condition
- Winter mountain gear in good condition

Cancellation policy
- Cancellation 14 days or more prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are automatically reimbursed for the full activity price.
- Cancellation between 7 and 14 days prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are entitled to a 50% reimbursement.
- Cancellation 7 days or later are what we call last-minute cancellations. No reimbursements will be effected.
* If the activity is canceled by the activity provider (due to weather, non-completion of minimum entries, force majeure, etc.), the price of your activity, is refunded in full.
